Case Study: Customer Reference Forum

Company Description

The Customer Reference Forum holds yearly symposiums for reference program professionals in cities around the globe. In 2006, it attracted reference professionals from many of the worlds top firms, including HP, Microsoft, Intel, Oracle, SAP, SAS, Research in Motion, Verisign, IBM, EDS, Mercury, and dozens of other firms.

Objectives

To create an easily updateable web-front that summarized the events of previous customer reference forums, provided information on upcoming forums, and served as a gateway to all other affiliate websites. The Customer Reference Forum also provides marketing resources for sale, and needed a secure method to transact business online.

Solution

We completely reconstructed this site, from the underlying information architecture to the design element layouts. Upon receipt of the client survey responses, we drafted detailed documentation outlining the overall direction the web solution was to take. Utilizing the powerful PHP language, along with the MySQL Database Server and the Authorize.Net payment gateways, we implemented a scalable, secure shopping cart from the ground up. There are several shopping carts available for purchase, but we’ve found that our customized solutions fit seamlessly into the designs desired by the client.
